After superstorm Sandy‘s passage through the Northeast, we’re starting to see its destructive effects. A local ABC station is showing some of the first aerial footage of Sandy’s destruction in New Jersey.
In the video above, you can see the effects of the superstorm on Bayhead, near Point Pleasant. The images show an almost unrecognizable coastal neighborhood, where some of the houses have been literally washed away by the sea or even almost toppled by the waves and the winds. The situation is made even more dramatic by the fact that the bridge connecting the peninsula to the mainland is destroyed and inaccessible to first responders.
